That time of year
Bitesize Cinema is again teaming up with Hallowean and it seems the rest of the short film industry for the 4 th Halloween Short Films festival. The projector with teeth returns with showings at The Curzon Soho, ICA , and Roxy Bar & Screen this January 6 th – 15 th . Highlights include a Destricted competition, numerous live music and visual DJ events and a bucket load of new and classic short films. You should go as much as you can. We're currently stitching together the Bitesize Cinema: Spring 07 programme to be released between April – May 2007.

From Australia we have A Message From Fallujah, exploring the world of kidnap victims in Iraq and starring Lars Henrikkson. From New York we have the wonderful no-budget Digital gem Cuco Gomez Gomez Is Dead.
We also have the BAFTA winning Antonio's Breakfast, from Dalniel Malloy. Fresh from winning CineQuest in America we have Lucky, the tale of an aids orphan in Durban, South Africa. Spring

Spring 06 sees the arrival of 4 new venues around the UK on the Bitesize Cinema tour. The Filmhouse, Edinburgh, The GFT, Glasgow, Chapter in Cardiff and The Riverside Studios, London have all joined our digital network of independent cinema and continue our goal of making short films a serious alternative to feature films on the big screen. Well done to Andy Gordon, John Williams and the team behind "Hibernation", to add to a string of world film festival wins, the film has just won the Audience Award at the biggest short film festival on earth - Clermont ferrand in France. The Festival is the most prestiguous short film festival in the world, and Hibernation's win again highlights the moving and beutiful tone of this mini-masterpiece. Hibernation can be seen for the final ime in February with screenings at The Rio, and Genesis cinemas in East London. http://www.clermont-filmfest.com/

The First BITESIZE CINEMA Programme (Winter 06) features a world exclusive look at the 11:22 Entertainment short film production Hawk. We believe this may be a world first – the first time a short film trailer has been shown before a short film screening. Hawk is a fantasy film based on old Welsh mythology and legend and was filmed on location in the Snowdonia mountains. We put together a ‘best of' screening to celebrate the annual Halloween Short Film Festival – bringing together an ecelectic, special one off showing for this coolest of London short film festivals. Now in it's third year, Halloween is a 4 Day festival of short film showcased along side the coolest new bands and DJs. It took over the ICA and Curzon Soho for 5 days in January.
